Capcom reveals Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 | UPDATE: All 12 new fighters leaked

Surprising absolutely no one, Capcom have pulled back the curtain on a new edition to one of their fighting games, in this case Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Thankfully, this new version comes with plenty of new content, including 12 new fighters and 8 new stages on which to battle, as well as a few balance tweaks.

Capcom revealed four of the new fighters: Strider and Firebrand for the home team, while Ghost Rider and Hawkeye are added to the Marvel roster.  An overview of the game’s characters featuring the new guys is embedded below, and individual character videos can be found on the Capcom-Unity blog:

The game is set to release this November for $39.99, though I may hold out for the inevitable Super Ultimate Turbo 3D Edition.

UPDATE: Well, it seems that all 12 of the new characters have been outed: rounding out the Marvel roster will be Doctor Strange, Nova, Iron Fist, and Rocket Raccoon (you read that correctly); Capcom’s newcomers include Vergil from Devil May Cry, the Nemesis from Resident Evil 3, Frank West from Dead Rising, and Phoenix Wright from, you know, Phoenix Wright.

I do not object (hurr hurr), except for the odd exclusion of Mega Man.

  1. Capcom’s latest shenanigans are getting pretty ridiculous. Every time I’m reminded of how they’re treating Mega Man I just pretend they don’t exist. They clearly have no idea what they’re doing.

  2. VERGIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. This is absolute BS we as gamer’s need to end this. We can’t let Capcom to keep doing this. SIV – $60, SSIV – $40, SSIVAE – $15= $115 for Street Fighter 4 alone. DLC on the disc, Cacelling Mega Man.
