Chavez believes PlayStation is poison!

In what could be one of the most surprising turn of events in the console war, 360 fanboy, Hugo Chavez, has come out directly on his radio show alerting his country of the poisonous competition known as PlayStation.

According to Chavez, PlayStation is poison and will lead the children of Venezuela down the capitalist road to hell. While we think this is a tad extreme, Chavez may be right considering the consoles ability to do “everything.” Maybe it does have the ability to turn nice kids into capitalist robots — who knows?!

Some of the more memorable quotes from Chavez include, “Those games they call ‘PlayStation’ are poison. Some games teach you to kill. They once put my face on a game, ‘you’ve got to find Chavez to kill him.'”

Followed by, “promote the need for cigarettes, drugs and alcohol so they can sell them. That’s capitalism, the road to hell.”

This is not the first time Chavez has taken aim at a Japanese console manufacturer, as the man from Venezuela has also attacked Nintendo as well.

This seems like a hot story — we’ll keep you updated if El Presidente decides to vent some more.

Damn, I didn’t know he was a 360 fanboy! Everything other than Halo is poison!

  2. i fink what this hugo guy ment with “playstation” was “video games”

the entire point of a video game is to escape reality for a few houres
and kill some virtual humans instead of taking youre anger out on youre boss
and mayby enjoj the storyline while youre at it

  3. good read, would love to see more developments on this wacky story

  4. I love my PS3, but can we stop putting the fanboy spin on everything? Like Reigen said in post #2, this was a generalized attack at videogames. You think Hugo Chavez supports American console manufacturers? Hell no! And seeing that 90% of the next-gen library is multi-plat and those games feature all the aforementioned “capitalist vices” in them… I doubt there is any chance Hugo Chavez is rockin’ Left 4 Dead 2 on Xbox Live.

  5. lol “playstation” and “nintendo” is how they describe video games

I was going to say the same thing.
