Crysis 2 to be 3D on all three platforms

Crytek has announced that Crysis 2 will be 3D on all three release platforms. Now let’s just take that in – the incredibly impressive first-person-shooter will be in full stereoscopic 3D on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Yes, even though only Sony has been pushing 3D, it looks like Microsoft’s Xbox 360 will also be able to enjoy stereoscopic 3D games. How Crytek will achieve this with one of the most impressive looking engines, CryEngine 3, is quite frankly mind-boggling. Crytek head Cevat Yerli revealed the news during EA’s E3 2010 keynote.

  3. well if you want to play it in 3d probably yes .. but id stick to hdtvs or normal tvs until 3dtvs have dropped in price ..

Yeah you do. It’s the same way with high definition, which you can’t have on standard tvs.

I never got into Crysis, and I’m much more excited about Killzone 3 and Resistance 3. Anyway, it does look really badass.

  5. im guesing the pc and xbox version will use regular IMAX

  6. I doubt I’ll be playing it in 3D, but I was impressed by the E3 footage.
