Sony Online Entertainment’s DC Universe Online has gotten bigger, and bigger, and bigger since going free-to-play at the start of the month.
According to SOE Austin executive director Lorin Jameson, the MMO has gained one million new players – with a 50/50 split between the PS3 and PC versions – since November 1.
“Our business model philosophy of Free to Play Your Way makes DCUO accessible to every type of player so they can choose to play the game in a way that suits them best,” he said.
“We have a lot of exciting things coming up for players to enjoy in the game and are thrilled at the initial enthusiasm for the game’s free-to-play transition.”
DCUO first launched back in January this year under subscription.
