NIS America and Nippon Ichi have done a fantastic job over the years localizing and bringing over the Disgaea franchise to gamers in North America and that trend is set to continue with Disgaea 4. To be honest, I’d like to see NIS American bring over a lot more titles as I think the niche market for these games is vastly underrated on the continent and with more exposure, they could sell even better. That’s another story entirely though.

Anyway, Disgaea 4 is set for release in Japan on February 24th, 2011 and has a window of Summer 2011 for North America. There hasn’t been a date set for Europe as of yet, but with the region free coding of Blu-ray discs, it really shouldn’t matter. Those excited enough, should just import the title anyways.

Today, NIS American and Nippon has also released the debut trailer for Disgaea 4 and we’ve included it below.

Am I the only one who thinks its crazy how Nippon has been able to sustain this franchises success despite it continuing its old school look? It’s pretty interesting to say the least.
