Frathouse Friday: Video Game (Alcoholic) Drinks

There comes a time in every bros life when they must momentarily put down the beer bong and suit up for gentlemen’s evening. While the clothes may not contain nudity or obscene pun play, that does not mean you can’t throw a fancy party and get drunk as hell. This week the Frathouse will be offering up the best mixed drinks in gaming, and by best we mean the ones that kick the most ass. So whether you are prepping a party for scholars, trying to impress alcoholic babes with daddy issues, or just wanting to have something to sip in your study next to the fire, bottoms up bros! It is time to drink.

Kratos ( The God of Cocktails)

Ingredients:
1 oz. Vanilla rum
3/4 oz. Strawberry rum
1/2 oz. Amaretto
1 splash Everclear
Strawberry syrup
Milk (to fill. Around 4-5 oz.)

Directions:
In a shaker mix the rums, amaretto and a splash of everclear. Add in approximately 4-5 ounces of milk. Stir gently. Take a martini glass and slowly dribble strawberry syrup down the inside. About half way before it hits the bottom rotate the glass sharply. The syrup should now make a lightning bolt pattern down the glass. Slowly pour the milk mix in. Feel the fury of the God of War!

Uncharted 3: Drinks Deception

Ingredients:
Ginger beer (You could use Crabbies alcoholic ginger beer if you fancy more of a kick)
Goldschlager
Overproof rum (“we use Wray and Nephew,” says James)
Cinnamon
A box of matches

Directions:
Like the Uncharted games, this drink is one big action set-piece. Grab a highball glass and rub lime juice around the rim before dunking it onto a plate of sugar, then pour in 175ml ginger beer. Next, get a shot glass and pour in 10ml of Goldschlager, followed by 15ml of overproof rum, poured over the back of a spoon. You can now carefully light the shot and sprinkle cinnamon over the top from about 40cms to get an impressive flame. Then blow it out and drop the shot glass into the ginger beer.

  1. Great article Colten. I must confess that I don’t drink but after reading this article I’m very tempted to try out one of these.

  2. How about you credit who made the drinks and leave the watermark on next time, bros?

He did credit them, at the end. There is a direct hyperlink to the website.

For one, as has been stated before there is a link and promotion of to the kickass people who are working on compiling EVERY video game inspired drink on the net. This list was merely a selected group that highlighted what I thought were the best ones that fell in toe with the theme of the site.

Secondly, the pictures are used as is. If any watermark had been present it would have remained, since there weren’t any I felt the link to the site, promotion of the site, and an email to the person who manages the site would suffice.
