God of War III ended pretty decisively, I think, but that won’t stop others from asking for more. As a result, it’s not too surprising to see rumors of a fourth entry gaining steam. This time, we have the resume of composer Timothy Williams listing God of War IV as one of his upcoming projects, keeping the rumor mill ever turning.
A couple of years ago, Sony Santa Monica director of project development John Hight said that “This is not the end of God of War. This is definitely the end of the trilogy, but we’re going to continue to do God of War games.” It’s a contradictory statement, but it looks like we’re going to take the Halo route and continue the fight after we supposedly finished it.
