Sucker Punch is back with InFamous 2 – the electricity charged super hero game that’s had quite the makeover. Graphically it’s a more impressive and cohesive game compared to the studio’s first PlayStation 3 attempt. Geoff Keighley of GameTrailers TV fame agrees.
Sony showed off the first gameplay trailer for InFamous 2 during its E3 press conference – you can find this below. The game was actually meant to be one of the platform holder’s big E3 announcements, but Game Informer put that to rest with an early leak. Oh well. We don’t blame them.
The game has had a face lift, with a new Cole, new powers, and a newly enhanced graphics engine. Geoff Keighley of GameTrailers has had his hands on the game at E3 and tweets his impressions:
“Wow!! Just played Infamous 2. Blown away by it, feels like Uncharted 2. Very impressive.”
What feeling “like Uncharted 2” means we’re not sure, but we would have expected more wow’s and exclamation marks. Promising though, promising.
Is that Steve Buscemi?
It probably means that the leap from infamous 1 to infamous 2 is just like the one from Uncharted.
Or it means the climing is similar to Uncharted 2. . . . . . who knows xD.
I’m not a huge follower of Keighley, but I’ll take his word for it. inFAMOUS 2 is gonna be great!
Well the first game was already fun. Anything better than that is awesome in my book. While it does feel strange having an obviously new look for Cole, I hope the adjustment isn’t awkward for those who played the first. I never expected something so drastic… he looks closer to Nate than he does to the old Cole in that trailer so maybe that’s what Keighley meant :p

Did anyone else think Cole looked very metrosexual in the trailer. I thought the character was great in the first one. The voice suited the character and the new voice sounds horrible to me.

I m glad they changed the look of cole, I don’t if its me Cole Reminded me a lot of nathan hale from resistance. Nathan Hale but with different clothes
Well I heard that the reasoning behind the character/voice actor change was that they’re now using motion capture for the game and the previous voice actor was incapable of doing it. They went with a revamped look because of the new voice not really fitting the old Cole. I partly agree with it but it still looks like adjusting to the change will be weird at first.
I feel as if Cole was based off of Nate Fox, that is, until now.
