Kojima’s Project Ogre is open-world

Hideo Kojima’s Project Ogre will be an open-world title, according to a new report.

During an interview with CNN, the Metal Gear creator admitted that a new direction is being taken with P’Ogre.

“The kind of game I’m making is some game that has a very wide entrance, a very open entrance,” he said. “Rather than making something very cinematic, [I plan to] make something very free.”

According to CNN, Kojima described the game as being set in “a very open world where players can wander around and explore freely,” and hinted at up to 100 hours of gameplay time should players take advantage of side quests.

The video game legend recently noted P’Ogre to be “a very subdued experience,” but has said it’ll be a while before gamers see it on store shelves.
