Konami is working on a new Silent Hill video game for “next-gen consoles,” which we’ll take to mean the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. That’s despite it being the “next-generation” for almost five years already. Surely, nay certainly, it’s now the “current generation”? Anyway, moving swiftly on…Konami announced Saw II as well. Makes you so excited you want to gauge your eyes out doesn’t it?
Konami announced the development of the new Silent Hill game yesterday in Frankfurt, Germany. Eurogamer Germany attended the event and the only information they could garner was that the game would be on “next-gen consoles.” Useful. Hell, the new game could be coming to the Nintendo Wii for all we know. And maybe it should, since the Wii’s Shattered Memories whipped the hell out of Homecoming on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
The publisher was kind enough to announce another game for consoles — Saw II. Splendid. Developed by the very same Zombie Studios, is set between the first two Saw films and will be released this October.
