I’m sure you’re as tired as I am about hearing more and more about Modern Warfare 2, but anyone behind it feels it hasn’t received quite enough press yet. That’s ok, we’ll continue to cover it anyways. After all, it’s what we do, right? In the latest news out of the Infinity Ward camp, musical composer Hans Zimmer (the man behind the game’s music), has let it be known that Modern Warfare 2 features music that is emotionally dark and that it goes far beyond the game.
“What makes it really interesting is that it has an emotional darkness to it where sometimes you go, I just can’t believe they are going to do this now and then they do it,” he said.
“It’s full of those sort of moments where it just takes things further than anyone would expect them to do. So I think it is less a geographic journey than an emotional one.”
Zimmer obviously isn’t aware that everyone already knows you get the slaughter a ton of civilians in the opening act. We know — Infinity Ward is trying to push boundaries with a shock factor. Good job.
