Atlus has been no stranger to the PlayStation platform with games such as Persona 3 and Persona 4 ranking to be some of the best RPGs on the PlayStation 2. While the games have received their fair share of criticism, the mature stories coupled with the dating simulations and dungeon crawling has allowed the series to gain an unwavering fan base that has kept on growing. With Demon’s Souls being a sleeper hit for the PlayStation 3, it’d only be natural for Atlus to keep producing games that work. Katsura Hashino, director and producer of Persona 3 and 4 has said to Japanese magazine Dengeki PlayStation:
“We are preparing to start work on the next Persona. I want to add things that are being expected of the series. I also want to change things that can be changed within those boundaries.”
Color me excited as I can’t wait to see and play another game apart of the Persona franchise. No platform has been announced, but odds are Persona 5 will finally land on the PlayStation 3.
