CES: PS Vita getting Netflix and Music Unlimited apps

During their presentation at CES yesterday, Sony announced that popular movie streaming service Netflix will be making its way to the PS Vita in the US, surprising no one. Both companies are currently working to have the app ready for the Vita’s launch in February, but it’s not certain. This marks the Vita as the 9000th (approximately) device that is Netflix-compatible.

Sony also announced that their Music Unlimited service will be making its way to their handheld, and is confirmed to be available on day-one for both the US and Europe.

Like all of its other products, Sony is looking to market the PS Vita as a multimedia powerhouse. Hopefully it doesn’t stray too far from the machine’s primary focus. You know, those vidja games you hear people talk so much about these days.
