So the whole 10 year life cycle isn’t looking too far fetched anymore :p It probably won’t reach the same sale numbers though, haha.

I’m surprised it took you this long to realize they’re a joke.
  • Six Underwhelming Limited Editions
I also like the EA limited editions and unlike many other games, it’s exactly what its name implies: it’s limited! I hate some of the other limited/collector’s editions because they usually end up putting a bunch of crap I do not want ALONG with the DLC I would love to get. Dead Space 2, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Black Ops… they all have junk, while maybe cool at first, will just sit there and gather dust after a few minutes and require me to shell out 100$+ which I could instead spend on several games to enjoy. I wouldn’t mind if they kept doing this in the future. Limited edition for early adopters featuring some of the DLC offered in the collector’s edition that’s being sold at a higher price for extra junk I don’t want 😛 Win for me!

Just to say, Castlevania has been patched. It was released yesterday actually and should fix the save glitch issues people have been experiencing.

Great article though… I hate that mentality so many developers seem to adopt. I’d rather wait for the game to be released as a final product instead of receiving it along with devs telling me its issues will be fixed “soon” which is most likely not soon at all.

  • Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Review
Gotta agree about Gabriel not showing any sign of physical exhaustion by the end of the game. The narration itself points it out yet Gabriel himself remains unchanged.

As for the rest, it’s simply fantastic. Music, visuals, gameplay, it’s all there in one neat package and a fresh new take on Castlevania lore. Even after losing my file to the nasty save glitch, I’ve decided to start anew and get the platinum I set out to do in the first place. The game is just fun to play once you get the hang of the combat.

Cannot wait to see what kind of direction the sequel will take with this reboot to the franchise.

    @Sir Rickard

I can’t believe I forgot that… I actually had to hunt down a few of the songs on Youtube. Particurlarly this one, which I LOVE:

Love the mix of old 8bit sounds with more modern stuff in this one.

Sooo how much are they profiting from every ps3 sold now? I didn’t see any info on that.

  5. this is cool, it will only get better from here on =D

  6. wow
sony sold ps3s for 600 despite costing them more than 800 to make
and made constant price cuts and dident earn a single buck of the ps3 all up until now
i gues its safe to say that despite the ps3s price you were getting a loot more than what you payed for
for the original ps3 buyers it ewen profit for 200$+

i like the thought that there are some companies out there that dont feel like filling their greedy pockets with my money
    ceep it up sony

That’s good to hear. Now that Sony’s not struggling with that they can do even more for the system now. I’m looking forward to seeing what all they are going to do now.

  9. software and hardware sales are rising, there is no need for next-gen when Ps3 games are still good at the moment. The 10 years cycle looks promising to me.

  10. good sony deserve this and with the subscription on PSN they would hope to recover their losses which they made early in PS3 life cycle.

  11. Good news! If nothing else they need resources to put into PS4. 🙂
