Red Dead Redemption gets co-op pack

Rockstar has announced today that they have plans to release downloadable content for Red Dead Redemption in June that will allow for up to 4-player co-op opportunities.

This DLC is titled “Outlaws to the End” and features six missions which will allow for gamers to utilize the co-op functionality online. Considering the anticipation for this title, it doesn’t surprise me that Rockstar is going to great lengths to deliver a title worthy of the hype after the over-hyped game known as Grand Theft Auto IV.

“Multiplayer in Red Dead Redemption offers players a whole new way to encounter the massive open world we’ve created,” said Rockstar co-president Sam Houser, “but we felt the experience would not be complete without co-op game play.

“With these missions, we wanted to create new ways for players to share in the experience of engaging with this amazing landscape.”

RD:R releases on May 18th in North America.

  1. 4 Player co-op online? Or local split screen? Both would be ideal but no one does local split screen anymore 🙁

  2. So I have to buy the co-op? That’s bull . . . at least it has it, though.
