Report: Just Cause movie gets new writer, third video game in development

There’s a lot is happening in the world of Just Cause, it seems.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie adaptation of Avalanche Studios’ open-world franchise – titled Just Cause: Scorpion Rising – has a new writer in Bryan Edward Hill.

Producers Adrian Askarieh and Eric Eisner have signed the comic book writer (Broken Trinity Aftermath, Netherworld) to polish up the original script written by Michael Ross.

On top of that, the report claims a third Just Cause video game instalment is in the works, as expected.

The franchise first made waves in 2006 with Rico Rodriguez’s first adventure on PS2, which was followed by last year’s critically acclaimed sequel.
