Ever since Nintendo debuted their Super Smash Bros. franchise back on the N64, it has become a smash hit (pun very much intended) all the way up to the current generation of game consoles. And while the support behind the franchise doesn’t seem to be dying down any time soon, a common topic of discussion among PS3 gamers has been about the possibility of a version sporting everyone’s favorite mascots from the new and old gems of our PlayStation libraries.
Well it seems that someone at Sony has been listening, and recent evidence supports a team working towards making our dreams come true. According to Paul Gale of paulgalenetwork.com , “Title Fight” is a 2-D planed fighter similar to the likes of Super Smash Bros., and has been in development by SuperBot Entertainment since 2010.
Quite a bit of info is peppered along previous articles teasing the title’s development as well, mentioning a few characters and stages that are based of off environments in popular PlayStation games. One character seems to be confirmed heavily alongside photo evidence, and that is Sweet Tooth from the Twisted Metal franchise. Other first party characters listed include Nathan Drake, Kratos, Sly Cooper, and a few others. It is unknown whether or not third party characters and stages will be making it in the game, but so far there has been consideration to bring in the world’s most popular double agent.
No formal announcement has been made, but everyone should keep their eyes peeled for more updates rolling in.
