Scott Pilgrim Vs The World receives some DLC

One of the best selling PlayStation Network titles this year was easily Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, especially with the release of the movie to coincide with the excitement of the game. However, key elements such as Knives Chau were left out of the release and the game didn’t have as much replay value as some may have hoped.

Today, however, it has been revealed that not only will Knives be making her way into the game, but that Scott Pilgrim is receiving two new game modes as well. If that wasn’t cool enough, they’re not going to completely milk you to get the content either as it is lining up to be released at only $2. A small price to pay considering what you’re getting in return.

One of the new game modes is called Dodgeball in which players utilize dodge balls to take out their opponents and enemies throughout the course of the game. This should add a fun element of play and is quite a cool Easter egg despite having to pay for it.

The other game made is Battle Royale, which is probably the better of the two. In Battle Royal, players battle one another in an epic free-for-all on an elevated platform (much like other free-for-all titles). Hopefully the developers plan on adding online support for this mode, if not, it won’t have as much entertainment value as I’d like.

  1. That’s a negative on the online, unfortunately:

“At the same time, a patch will be issued to address difficulty balancing (making “average joe” a little more forgiving), squash several bugs and introduce drop-in/drop-out co-op. The latter will be for offline play only; when asked, Ubisoft said there are no plans to incorporate online multiplayer into the game, nor any further DLC for this stellar beat-’em-up.”
