THQ says “Saint’s Row 3 is mind blowing”

Fans of the Saint’s Row franchise can mark their calendars for 2011, as THQ has somewhat confirmed that Saint’s Row 3 will be seeing the light of day come 2011. However, you can expect the media blitz and PR campaign to start during Q4 of this year.

Speaking with CVG in New York last year, THQ’s VP Danny Bilson revealed not only that Saint’s Row 3 was coming, but that the new tech behind the game is going to be mind blowing.

“The next Saints Row is mind-blowing. New tech; mind-blowing. I can’t talk about that too much but it’s mind-blowing.”

This is pretty standard PR practice though, as it would be kind of ridiculous for Bilson to call it bland or recycled, but it does peak our interest in finding out what’s so mind blowing about it.

How many of you are excited for the next iteration in this franchise or do you feel that so many installments so quickly may start to drain the magic from it?

  1. I’ve never played Saints Row before, but I hear it’s alright.

  2. I havnt played it either and want to pick up number 2 as I heard great reviews from it. From what i have seen looks really fun and if it could up the graphics a little it would rather easily beat gta 4 in my opinion. New tech will hopefully mean 3 will give gta a run for its money.

  3. Never played the first 2 but they always seemed really fun. Hopefully this one peaks my interest more and I actually go out and get it.

Omg seriously the developers have been always saying this, chances are its probably not, because of its “Multiplat” Status Everyone know that the mind blowing games only appear in the form as an exclusive.

    I doubt it…

Unless it comes from a developer other than the one behind the game, then I don’t really care how mind blowingly awesome it is. What was really impressive is when other developers shared their opinions on Uncharted 2 even if they were 360 exclusive ones. That speaks a lot about a product’s quality but THQ spreading good word about their own game… not so much.

  7. Saints Row 2 was awesome.

On board for this one already!
