This was probably inevitable, but EA’s Battlefield 3 has just been banned from sale in Iran. The only real surprise is that the it took a month for it to happen.
The ban is no doubt centered around the single-player campaign, during which a major shootout occurs in the Iranian capital of Tehran. It’s also worth noting that the game was never technically for sale from EA in Iran, although bootlegged copies are widely available in shops. Either way, it’ll be big trouble for anyone caught buying or selling the now contraband game.
