New Skyrim patch in the works for all platforms

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a big-ass game with literally thousands of things going on at any given time, so bugs are to be expected — the game had a patch ready to plug some of the leaks on day one. Of course, people are still discovering bugs in the game across all platforms, and as such each system has a new patch in the works.

Yesterday Pete Hines, VP of PR and marketing over at Bethesda, tweeted that the developers were hard at work to get the fixes out as soon as they can. Perhaps the most troubling bug of all for PS3 players is a serious decrease in performance once a save file approaches 6 MB in size. There’s a temporary workaround for it that will have to do until the patch makes its way to PSN, but it’s far from elegant.

We loved the game despite these issues, but there’s no denying that the game has its fair share of niggles. What have you experienced so far?

  1. I thought the performance issues were just applying to me! Glad they’re doing something about it.
