Nominees for SpikeTV’s VGA 2010 released

Earlier today, SpikeTV revealed the nominees for its upcoming Video Game Awards show for 2010. Despite lacking one of the biggest titles released this year entirely, the other nominees are very well chosen but tainted by the lack of Gran Turismo 5. Sony and its lineup of exclusives did a pretty good job this year landing two nominees in Best Graphics and one in Game of the Year. Left a few of the sections out because I don’t play the genres or I think there could’ve been much better nominees they what they had listed.

  4. lulz why is black ops on the game of the year category?

  5. Say what you will about the gameplay, but FFXIII deserves to be there for Best Original Score. I’ll take that over either GOW3 and Reach, to be honest. Red Dead should still win, though.

o and, i realy loved mass effect2 and heavy rain, theire absulutly amasing games, but when playing gow3 i lituraly questioned reality when fighting Kronos…
so sory Tali, but ill hawe to go for gow3

  7. Yeah I would of chosen FFXIII for best soundtrack in a heartbeat.

Personally, my GotY is Heavy Rain, but God of War III is my #2. Also, I’d like to say that I also would’ve picked FFXIII for Best Original Score had it been nominated.
