In the latest issue of PC Gamer UK, Valve boss Gabe Newell has promised at least three big surprises over the next coming 12 months. Of course, in teaser-site fashion, Newell didn’t release any information other than that, so your guesses will be as good as ours.

However, considering the hype and ridiculously long overdue announcement for Half Life 2: Episode 3, one of those three announcements is most likely that. As far as what the other announcements could be? Well, we’re hoping for one of them to be a Left 4 Dead bundle pack for PlayStation 3 which features both zombie killing smash hits on one Blu-ray disc. That would be pretty bad ass right?

“I can guarantee you people are going to be surprised at stuff we do. That isn’t going to stop any time soon. I’m just laughing because… people will be shocked again,” Valve boss Gabe Newell told the latest issue of PC Gamer. “We have three pretty big surprises in the next 12 months at least.”

Sadly, we have no guesses for the third announcement, so let us know below what you think it could be. The closest one to it gets absolutely nothing, but at least you can say you accomplished something online!

  1. A Left 4 Dead bundle on PS3 would be sweet!

  2. I’m calling it now. The third surprise is a Half Life movie made by Valve

Left 4 dead 3 exclusively to the PlayStation 3

  5. Left 4 Dead 3 exclusively to the PS3 will never happen. But a Left 4 Dead PS3 pack would be sweet.

  6. – Left 4 Dead bundle announced for PS3 along with the announcement of a third.
    – Half Life Episode 3
    – Portal 3 (depending on what happens at the end of the second)

Episode 3 wont come until Portal is done branching over into the Half Life universe, since that’s what it seems like they’re trying to do based off the location Portal takes place in and the ending of Episode 2 with the Borealis. Valve = genius. I want their games now 🙁

  7. I’d regain a lot of respect for Valve if they’re announcing a new PS3 game.

  8. “pretty big announcements” sounds to me they’re not Half-Life 2: EP3-big.

i hawe doughts Valve will ewer do a game exclusively, at least not more than a few monght
