According to a report by Phileweb (via Andriasang), Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has officially cancelled production and shipments of the PSP go. Many online retailers have updated to selling limited amounts of the portable device, with the PlayStation.com store officially listing “shipment ended”.

With the announcement of the NGP, it’s no surprise Sony is wanting to drop any failures and move onto a brighter future. PlayStation fans can expect to hear more news on the new NGP at E3 later this year.
