THQ has released a batch of fresh new screenshots for their upcoming 3rd person action/adventure title Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. Taking up the role of Captain Titus, players will be humanity’s last hope in a war against the Chaos and Ork factions.

For those interested in the blood and guts, THQ creative manager Dan McGuffey stated that violence plays a key role in Space Marine.

“Violence to me is just a great feedback loop that quickly signifies whether or not you’ve been successful,” McGuffey said. “In Space Marine, that’s exactly what it does – it indicates success and a feeling of unstoppable power. It’s rewarding because it indicates that what the player is doing is having an impact in the world and that their presence is being felt.”
