Brink to provide 100+ hours

Tired of playing a game that only provides 6-12 hours of game time despite still costing $60 every time? Splash Damage’s creative director Richard Ham understands that frustration and it’s the exact reason he carried so much pride when discussing the upcoming shooter, Brink.

Not only is this one of our hotly anticipated games this year, but Ham says that the game will keep players busy for “literally hundreds of hours – be it against each other, or against AI.”

This is a crazy amount of time, but that’s not all. Ham reveals in an interview with NowGamer that even the development team can’t get enough of the game.

“Even after all those hours clocked, every day that we have an afternoon play-test, people still drop everything they’re doing to make sure they can get in before the server fills up,” states Ham.

While some may consider this nothing but PR propaganda in order to push the excitement of the product, our anticipation remains heightened. Brink is scheduled for release later this year.

  1. I am still not exactly sure what Brink is. Is is like an MMO FPS with you just killing people and having basic objectives?? I doubt that will last hundreds of hours. So right now, I am saying PR bull.

  2. I’m pretty excited for this game.

  3. another shooter? trash

i dont want a game to last 100 hours because of just some trash online multiplayer.

Wow Dr.Moogle its a shooter that builds on what Mirror’s Edge has done, its incorporates freelance movement, acrobatics, as well as shooting. Besides It may actually be very fun XD

  5. wwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll, mirrors edge was ok. but its no big deal. youve got to see that its still just a shooter….but with a bit of more freedom in movement

also, its still what? boring ass TDM? nahhhhhh

  6. 100+ hours game mode, that means SP+MP+Co-Op, i think Resistance 2 did that, Lot of people are going to wait for the reviews.

  7. Another shooting game??? I’m really tired of seeing only FPS and third person shooting games being released. Short campaign for an excuse to focus heavily on online multiplayer. This gen just keeps getting worse. 85% of games released this gen are shooting games( my estimate). I want to see something new and exciting.
