Child of Eden coming to PS3, possible Move & 3D support

Speaking with CVG, Child of Eden designer Tetsuya Mizuguchi revealed that after the June release on Microsoft’s Kinect, Q Entertainment and Ubisoft will bring Child of Eden to the PlayStation 3.

Mizuguchi gave no official details on a release date only stating that their plans are for “later this year.” Support for the PlayStation Move controller and 3D are of some interest as Mizuguchi hinted at the possibility of using the technologies in the future.

“It’s really immersive to make a 3D experience for the game but we haven’t announced it yet,” Mizuguchi said. “Sony has [support for] 3D glasses and the Move Controller on PS3 but we haven’t announced it.”

“On PS3 it will be possible to play with the Move controller, and you can feel the vibration through the controller and play with 3D images for some flying visual effects.”

From the creators of Rez, this colorful title entraps players through music and art. Watch the trailer below if you’re unfamiliar with Children of Eden and let us know your thoughts in the comment section.

  1. One of my friends got ahold of an old copy of Rez here in Japan, and the first time I played it was only about a month ago. I had an absolute blast with it and would love to see this game on the PS3.
