In news that is probably as old as I am, Sony has finally confirmed a specific release date for its upcoming MMO DC Universe Online. Previously the title was given a November release window, but nothing set in stone. However, this past weekend during the game’s panel at Comic Con, the November 2nd release date was announced.
While this is awesome news for fans of not only the DC universe, it makes me wonder how many people actually still care. Considering how long this game has taken to finally hit retail shelves, I’d imagine a lot of the initial interest people once shown is known obsolete. I know personally that when I first saw the game unveiled, I was somewhat excited to check it out, but now I’m probably not even going to bother.
Is this something you guys are undecided on or are you definitely going to give the probably trial period a shot to addict you to a world of crime fighting?
I was excited when I first heard about the game, but after seeing countless updates from Chris Cao and his big talk I lost a little bit of hope with each one.. I mean really such a great game, but doesn’t show any game play… Some thing is fishy! Then I saw some game play and said no way in hell would I play that game, even if it was free!
I think this game will flop, it will be just like SWG but with even less people after just a few months of release.
Competing with Cataclysm? Good luck with that, almost any POS computer can run WoW or Guild Wars, DCUO will probably have a lot of FMF players before it floods game stops used section.
Too many superior MMOs out there for me to care. Plus I’m not spending $180/yr. for one game,
Great, GT5 and this game on my birthday, LBP right around the corner from that and I’m sure a couple of other games as well. Ugh…. I’m waiting for more videos and reviews.
