Activision has published new screenshots for Sledgehammer’s upcoming title Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The images include an underwater scene with a massive submarine and two close-up shots of in-game character models, one in daylight and the other at night.

While the latest title in the series doesn’t tout the mighty graphical prowess of Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3 doesn’t require an outrageously expensive PC to run it. In fact, Modern Warfare 3 appears to even include a decent level of destructibility in this years edition, while still maintaining 60fps on consoles.

Activision is expected to show more of the game and announce new details at E3 in two weeks. Check out the first gameplay trailer for Modern Warfare here, screenshots here.
