Last week, both Pokemon Black and White surged up the UK software sales charts upon release leaving little doubt as to whether or not the franchise is still popular in the East. However, surprisingly (even to me), the Pokemon franchise wasn’t strong enough to maintain its pole position for more than one week. I honestly expected it to go on a little run, but instead, RPG enthusiasts turned BioWare’s recent release, Dragon Age II, into the top sold game of the past week.
Black took the furthest tumble going from second place to fourth, while White fell one place to second. Fight Night Champion stood strong with a third place finish while Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops is finally almost falling off the charts at number nine.
