Due to the PSN outage, Xbox 360 owners are the only ones able to jump into the latest Red Faction: Armageddon demo released by publisher THQ today.
The demo weighs in at 850Mb and features some of Armageddon’s newest weaponry. Developer Volition has done away with Red Faction: Guerrilla’s open world gameplay, settling for more of a direct and linear experience to ensure better narrative and progression. While providing a new storyline, weapons, and gameplay elements, players can look to Red Faction: Armageddon to still provide some of the best environmental destructibility in gaming.
The demo is available for download now via Xbox Live. Expect the demo to be released on PS3 as soon as Sony brings the PSN back online. Red Faction: Armageddon is scheduled to launch June 7 in US, June 10 in Europe.
Used to love the old Red Faction games on PS2. Geo Mod Engine was great back in the day. Still holding its own against competitors for destructibility.
