Street Fighter III coming to PlayStation Network

Have you grown tired of playing Street Fighter II? Are you in need of another retro fighter to download on your PlayStation 3? If you answered “yes” to both of these questions then you’re probably excited to hear that Capcom is bringing yet another iteration of its Street Fighter franchise to a downloadable store near you — your living room.

Confirmed this past weekend at Comic Con, Capcom is working on bringing Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online to the PlayStation Store. Currently, it isn’t known if the online portion of the title is due to the nature in which you download the game or if their will be an online component included, but we’re going to go out on a serious limb and predict that it’s the latter.

With the recent news of Street Fighter X Tekken and the already enjoyable Marvel Vs Capcom available as well, is there anyone truly looking forward to another old school fighter down the line?

  1. Awesome. I can’t get enough of fighting games =)

  2. I swear Capcom could work years on a MMORPG or a huge story game like Heavy Rain anything other than a fighter and at the end of the production it would end up being a Street Fighter game!

  3. I hear this is the best in the series so I need to pick it up and try it.
