An ominous tweet from 3D Realms co-founder George Broussard wished luck to “60ish” WB Games employees last night, and today WB Games confirms that to be true.
Speaking to Joystiq, the publisher said that they have “had to make reductions” across it’s three Seattle-based studios, though they wouldn’t confirm the exact number of employees to be handed pink slips.
The teams affected by the cuts include Monolith Productions, Surreal Software, and Snowblind Studios, who released Lord of the Rings: War in the North just last week.
It’s crappy news any way that you slice it, so here’s hoping that these folks can find new work soon.
