For those of you looking to pick up Sony’s next generation portable the company has reassured consumers that the NGP is still on track to be on store shelves before the end of the year.
According to audio site Phile-web, Sony has started preparations for having the new handheld ready in time for the holiday season.
“Regarding NGP, we’re progressing with preparations towards a release at the end of the year,” said Sony within the company’s financial earnings report this morning.
It is still unknown as to whether the new platform will release worldwide or if it will launch at different times for separate regions. It’s expected that Sony will reveal details such as price, release dates for hardware and titles, and the official name of the new product at this year’s E3 convention.
Phile-web also reported that Sony plans to have the PSN and Qriocity services fully restored by the end of the month, with Japan’s PSN to begin services within the next few days.
