Dragon’s Dogma producer looks to fans for character names

Dragon’s Dogma producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi posted a special request today via Capcom-Unity, asking that fans of the upcoming RPG help submit character names.

“The Pawns, your allies in the game, need names,” wrote Hiroyuki.

“I’d like to ask you to help come up with the hundreds of names we’ll be using in the game.”

The three categories of names that the developers are lookingn for:

Modern name (e.g. Michael, Mike, Ben, etc.)
Dragon’s Dogma world reflected name (e.g. Adaro, Aelinore, etc.)
Pet names (e.g. Coco, Pooch, etc.)

The chosen names will not only appear in the game but winners will also receive a “Dragon’s Dogma Developer” badge on Capcom-unity. There is a 16 character limit with the option of entering first and last names. To submit a name suggestion, visit Capcom Unity here.

Dragon’s Dogma is expected to release sometime in 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
