It seems that old-school ass-kickery is still in high demand, as Namco Bandai are pleased to announce that the soul-crushing Dark Souls has shipped 1.5 million units since its release last month. They were even so kind as to break down the numbers regionally:

• Japan: 370,000 units
• North America: 620,000 units
• Europe: 470,000 units
• Asia: 40,000 units

Our own Malcolm Spinedi graded the game an A- in his review, and it just goes to show that games can find success when they’re aimed at the right audience.
