PSN is Down in America and Europe Right Now

Those hoping to play Stray on its launch day will currently be thwarted by PSN being down in multiple regions including North America and Europe on PS5 and PS4. According to the PlayStation Network status page, players will have issues with actions like signing into their accounts, launching games, and purchasing games from the PlayStation Store.

PSN is down on Stray’s launch day

The PSN servers are down around the globe with players being hit by a mixture of issues. According to the PlayStation Network status page, account management issues are affecting players’ ability to sign in to accounts, create new accounts, or edit the details of existing accounts. In the gaming and social category, players might have difficulty launching games, apps or network features. Finally, in the PlayStation Store, there are issues with downloading, browsing, and purchasing products from the store on PS5 and PS4 consoles.

It’s worth mentioning that these issues seem to be intermittent and are affecting players in different ways. I have been able to log in to the PlayStation Network and browse the PlayStation Store, but I can’t launch any games as it can’t connect to cloud storage. Meanwhile, a colleague has been able to get into a multiplayer lobby but did face login issues beforehand. Sony has yet to find a solution for the problem but says “we’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.”
