PSN is down in several regions including the United States right now. Sony’s online services seem to be partially affected on the PS4 and PS5.

Sony has confirmed PSN is down

At the time of this writing, the PlayStation Network status page shows that PS Store, PS Direct, and Gaming and Social services are down. All platforms are affected.

“You might have difficulty launching games, apps, or network features,” reads a notice on PlayStation’s official website. “We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.”

As far as the PS Store is concerned, Sony has said players might have trouble peforming the following actions:

Purchase
Download
Browse
Search
Redeem vouchers

Account management services and PS Video are not impacted at present.

The outage originally began about an hour ago and it’s unclear when it’ll be fixed. We’ll make sure to update our readers when we have more information.
