The main Metal Gear Solid franchise has been dormant since 2015’s Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. However, it is, as was previously reported, being resurrected through a Metal Gear Solid 3 remake, which was finally confirmed during the PlayStation Showcase.

Metal Gear Solid 3 remake trailer shows a new Naked Snake

The teaser trailer showed a short run through a jungle with a few hungry animals before zooming to Naked Snake. There’s not much to go on, outside of it coming to PS5 sometime in the future. There wasn’t even a developer or release window attached to the project. It’s not even clear if it is using the same dialogue and voice actors from the original. It did, however, have the iconic “Snake Eater” theme song.

The Metal Gear Solid 3 remake has been an open secret since it was first reported on in 2021. It has been bubbling up consistently ever since.
