Earlier today we reported on how insanely fucking powerful LittleBigPlanet 2 is going to be, however, the officially released announcement trailer sets a new standard in community gaming. As many of you know the original LittleBigPlanet launched a community of creators unlike anything ever seen in console gaming. Not only did this community grow a game of 50 levels to 2+ million, but they brought tons of families together as well.
Today, Sony and Media Molecule have introduced the debut trailer for LittleBigPlanet 2 which has a release date of Winter 2010. All I can say after watching the trailer is, “Eat your heart out Microsoft.”

It’s amazing than in a mere 2 minutes, we’ve already levels showing that racing, puzzle games, top down shooters and of course platforming all being possible with the new level creator. Can you imagine what the community will come up with now? How long until we get a puzzle based shooting racer game with RPG horror elements? :p This stuff is gonna be mindblowing 😀

I wanted to play LittleBigPlanet way more than I did, one of the reasons was that it felt restrictive.
I hope I will feel that’s not the case for LBP2 seeing that fantastic trailer! I played Warcraft 3 for years due to custom maps!
