Killzone 3 Rumored to Offer Offline Splitscreen

Killzone 3 has been making waves at MLG events over the last few months while showing off impressive gameplay in stereoscopic 3D, but over the weekend, the rumor started floating around that the title would also feature split-screen co-op as well. Considering this is one feature that PlayStation 3 owners haven’t been given enough of while major publishers like Bungie and Epic Games have utilized the feature plenty — it only proves worthwhile for Guerrilla Games to look into it.

A screenshot shown off at NicaGamerz displays both Nakto and Sev on the screen at one time with a divider going down the middle.  Whether or not this co-op feature exists is interesting, but it’s even more interesting to wonder about if it’ll push towards online co-op as well and not just offline. After all, online co-op has been executed very well this generation and has provided a great new way to tackle a campaign with friends.

Is split-screen something that interests you guys as gamers? I know for one, that I loved playing through Gears of War and Halo 3 with buddies online and wished that Sony would start offering a library of titles with a similar feature. Will you guys use this if/when it is confirmed?
