In next months issue of GameInformer, the cover story is about none other than Battlefield 3. This news was leaked out of the bag early as it usually is and the game has been slated for a release some time this upcoming Fall. That means it plans to go head-to-head with the next iteration in the Call of Duty franchise.

According to GameInformer, the new gaming engine Frostbite 2 has made Battlefield 3 possible and the following was posted on the website.

“Armed with powerful upgrades like deferred rendering, real-time radiosity, a new animation system borrowed from the EA Sports label, and an exponential leap in destructibility, executive producer Patrick Bach dubs Frostbite 2 ‘the best piece of technology on the market when it comes to building games'” reads the website.
