When EA DICE said it was time to take the next step in the FPS genre and that it was well prepared to take on Call of Duty as the head-honcho of gaming — I was pretty skeptical. After all, Call of Duty has been selling at a ridiculous rate over the course of the last four to five years that it’s just hard to believe.

Today, with the release of roughly three minutes of footage from Battlefield 3, I can only come up with the question: “Call of Duty who?”

I’m honestly blown away by the visual presentation of Battlefield 3 to the point that I was unsure if I was watching a war movie or checking out the latest video game. Any adjective I choose to describe BF3 is going to be an understatement and an injustice to what the Frostbite 2 engine has achieved.
