Resistance 3 takes on Move and 3D Support

Late yesterday evening, Resistance 3 developer, Insomniac Games, revealed on the Official PlayStation Blog that the team has decided to follow in the footsteps of Killzone 3 and offer both Move support and 3D support for its upcoming third installment.

Along with PlayStation Move support, gamers can expect the Move to function 100% properly with the PlayStation Sharp Shooter peripheral as well. So, what prompted this change in design? Well, apparently since the feedback from Killzone 3 was so positive, Insomniac Games wanted to offer its fans a similar experience through its title.

“After KZ3 launched, we heard a massive amount of positive feedback, and were inundated with requests to support both Move and sharp shooter, so we’re glad to be able to finally confirm the news,” Insomniac senior community manager James Stevenson wrote on the European PlayStation Blog.

Do you think this is good enough reasoning to apply Move and 3D support to a game? Obviously playing Killzone 3 in 3D was a fantastic experience, but should Resistance be making changes to follow in its footsteps or should they be laying their own path without change? I’m not sure how I feel about it because Killzone was meant for 3D gaming from the get go while Resistance is sort of “tacking” it on it feels like.

Leave your opinion below, I’d love to hear it.
