IO Interactive tweeted this morning for fans to keep their eyes open for an incoming announcement next week.

“News Flash! Next week is going to be good. Very good,” said a representative of IO Interactive. “Get ready for incoming shrapnel. Keep your eyes open!”

It’s been heavily speculated that IO Interactive is working on the next Hitman. Late last month, we reported that Square Enix filed a trademark for the name Hitman: Absolution, further adding fire to the burning rumor. This will be Agent 47 fifth installment, following Hitman: Blood Money released in 2006.
