New Black Ops PS3 bundle on the way, plus double XP weekend

According to Kotaku, a retail tipster let on that a brand new Call of Duty: Black Ops PS3 bundle is on its way to stores. The bundle lands May 24 and will cost $299.99. No other details were confirmed, however this seems about the time Activision will releasing the Escalation map pack for PS3.

Also, while PS3 users are still waiting for the PSN service to come back online, Xbox 360 and PC users have been treated another double XP weekend, celebrating the release of the new Black Ops Escalation map pack. The event started yesterday and will continue till Tuesday 10am PDT.

Those of you included in the PSN outage, Treyarch game director David Vonderhaar tweeted that “plans are being crafted” to ensure equal experience for PS3 users.

“What about PSN 2x XP, will I miss out? A: Absolutely not,” said Vonderhaar.

“Details to come. A plan is being crafted with top men who own BIG watches.”

  1. SONY are still unsure about the psn, if they have no confidence in there own abilities to even give us a switch on date, then i feel we shouldn’t even be talking or reading about what we are missing out on. GET A GRIP SONY !!!!!

    I just want the PSN back online. I could care less about double XP weekends. 😛
