According to a teaser printed in the latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine, gamers can expect Activision to lift the veil on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 very soon. The teaser displays a giant green 3, claiming that “the biggest game in the world” is about to make a return. The new issue hits stores June 8, releasing right in the middle of the E3 2011 conference.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare voice actor Craig Fairbrass has also shed some light on the imminent announcement, stating that Activision should be making an official reveal sometime in May.
“I did Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as Gaz and then I did Ghost in Modern Warfare 2, which has become one of the more iconic figures in the history of computer games, which is great,” Fairbrass said during a radio interview with talkSPORT.
“And I’ve just been out in LA doing something that’s going to be announced in May.”
“I’ve just been out there doing some bits and pieces, and one is to do with… I can’t say too much.”
This will be the eight major title release in the Call of Duty series with Sledgehammer Games taking over the reigns on single-player development and Raven Software handling the multiplayer aspects. Expect to hear more on Modern Warfare 3 in the coming weeks. It would not be surprising if Activision holds a massive showing at E3 2011 in June. Stay tuned for more details.

If Activision didn’t announce a new Call of Duty, I’d be very surprised. I don’t know how good this title is going to be though, considering that the new developers have only had a couple years with it.
