According to a memo sent to game developers and publishers, Sony plans to have the PlayStation Network services back online next Tuesday, May 24, complete with store upgrades and purchasing.
This is good news for users as it will provide a few weeks of Sony dishing out plenty of new PSN content, not to mention cheaper than most retail games. However, for developers and publishers, this only fills half the cup as they will be smashed together with other release dates and loosing spotlight time on the PlayStation Store.
Assuming there is a new PlayStation 3 system update Tuesday, let’s hope Sony is looking into fixing some of the issues that have been reported lately with L.A. Noire and other titles crashing and overheating older PS3 consoles due to the recent 3.61 firmware update.
