EA and Spicy Horse have released a few new images for Alice: Madness Returns giving players a frightening look at what happens to Alice in near death experiences.

In the game, when Alice becomes severely wounded in combat, she enters Hysteria Mode, slipping into a near colorless world with only the stains of vibrant crimson blood to paint the environment. While in the mode, players are given a power boost, providing a few final seconds to polish off their foe before dying.

Alice: Madness Returns is scheduled to release on June 16 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. View all the latest screenshots and media here.
