Lightbox Interactive president Dylan Jobe has confirmed that there will be a beta for the upcoming Starhawk title.
Speaking with readers on the official PlayStation Blog, Jobe stated that “there will be a beta,” however he couldn’t discuss specifics at the time. Also, it appears Lightbox plans on just using the Dualshock 3 controller this time, with no Move support planned.
“Starhawk does not support the PS Move,” Jobe said.
Warhawk was one of the first titles to use SIXAXIS controls, although is appears the developers are scrapping the technology as well as Move and putting focus into other gameplay aspects. One of the new additions to Starhawk is the Build & Battle aspect, allowing players to build bunkers, walls, and launch pads for vehicles. The title is also said to feature 16 vs 16 player battles, supporting up to four player local co-op.
